WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:

Session 1:  Sat. morning, Sept. 20, 2008 9am-1pm
Where: Room ILC201 Boise State Campus

Session 2:  Sat. afternoon, Sept. 20, 2-5pm
Where:  Basque Museum & Cultural Center at the Basque Block on Grove St.
> We will be touring the Museum & Basque Block

Session 3:  Sun. morning, Sept. 21, 9am-1pm
Where:  Room ILC201 Boise State Campus
> Continue exploration of Laxalt's book and the American immigrant experience

Session 4:  Sun. afternoon, Sept. 21, 2-5pm
Where:  Room ILC201 Boise State Campus

> Conclusions of Laxalt's book; being Basque & American; evaluations


REQUIREMENTS FOR CREDIT:

Reading requirement.  None for this introductory workshop.

Group work / Participation.  Periodically students will be getting into groups for a few assignments/discussions.

Attendance.  Attendance will be taken at each of the sessions; if you hope to get credit then plan to be at sessions 2-4 on time and the whole time.

Concluding reflection essay.  MS word document / 2-3 pages (typed, double-spaced) / paper prompt will be announced at the workshop. Email this (preferably as a MS Word attachment) to johnysursa@boisestate.edu no later than Monday, Sept. 29th. I will send you a confirmation email to let you know I received it.
